What do the treks cover in the Dhaulagiri Region?

Mount Dhaulagiri at 8167 m is the seventh highest mountain in the world. Many considered it to be the tallest mountain in the world before the discovery of Kanchenjunga and later Everest. It rises nearly 7000 m from the Kali Gandak+i river, making the treks here quite arduous.

Choosing to trek in the Dhaulagiri region

Dhaulagiri region lies north west of Pokhara with the Kali Gandaki river separating it from Annapurna massif. The true Himalayan seeker will be well suited for this region as it attracts a fewer trekkers than Annapurnas. All the treks start at Beni, a short drive from Pokhara and ascend through lovely unspoiled valleys, picturesque villages and alpine forest. It is more sparsely populated as you get to higher altitude with fewer encounters with locals or even trekkers. The mountain scenery though is equally beautiful.
